Scoping my mauser
I want to scope my mauser 98k that has been spoterized ideally I would get a Burris Fullfield II for this beast but money is a little tight like always and another scope has gone on sale near me and I Can't really find out much about it anywhere the Banner® Dusk & Dawn® 3-9x40 RifleScope I was wondering if anyone out here knows much about it like wether or not it will hold up to the recoil of an 8mm going off because reviews of other bushnell optics I could find said that the zero would rattle out of place after 2 or 3 shot and have to be adjusted again.

cheaper scopes are always a crapshoot. Some work fine forever, and some come apart under stress.
The cheaper ones almost always have inferior sight pictures as well.
I have never regretted spending money on good glass.
Get the Burris scope.
No experience with Bushnell myself. I will say this: if what you really want is the Burris, then if you can afford the wait time save up for it. Some things you can get less expensive(sometimes spelled 'cheaper') and be ok, other's you're just buying unhappiness.
Umm, just for clarity, so noone thinks that you're sporterizing a and scoping a Kar98, it is a M43 Spanish Mauser, which is a pretty different animal than the Kar98k/Kar98a rifles.
Burris doesn't exactly have a lock on quality scopes, so you probably want to look a bit broader. I'd be looking for used optics from gunsshows and the internet (ebay+gunbroker).
I'd be very tempted to put a K4 weaver on it, either a older used one ~$40 or new ~$109. Its a hell of a lot more durable than anything you'd get for under $300, and has a pretty good track record overall as both a U.S. military sniper rifle scope, and a hunting rilfe scope.
